Herzlich Willkommen! 🏠

Frankfurt is Germany’s financial capital — and its rental market behaves accordingly. Prices are high, competition is fierce, and landlords can afford to be picky. But it’s not impossible.

💶 What to expect to pay

• Studio (1 Zimmer): €900–1,300/month
• 2-room apartment: €1,200–1,800/month
• 3-room family apartment: €1,600–2,400+/month

Always ask whether a listing is Kaltmiete (cold, without utilities) or Warmmiete (warm, utilities included).

🔍 Where to search

ImmobilienScout24.de — the biggest platform
Immowelt.de — good secondary option
WG-Gesucht.de — for shared apartments
• Facebook groups: "Wohnung Frankfurt"
• Ebay Kleinanzeigen — hidden gems, but watch for scams

📝 What documents you’ll need

Prepare a Bewerbungsmappe (application folder) with:
• Passport/ID copy
• Last 3 months’ payslips
• SCHUFA credit report (free at bonitaets.de)
• Landlord reference from previous home
• Short personal cover letter in German

🚨 Red flags to avoid

• Requests for payment before a viewing
• Listings with no address or blurred photos
• Prices far below market rate (scams!)
• Landlords who never want to meet in person

💡 My #1 tip

Apply within the first hour a listing goes live. Good Frankfurt apartments disappear within 24–48 hours. Set up email alerts on ImmobilienScout24.

Viel Erfolg bei der Wohnungssuche! (Good luck with the apartment search!)

Bis nächste Woche,
Zahid
